What laptops are compatible with a Compaq Presario V2000 hard drive?
I have a Compaq Presario V2000 and the dc jack has become loose and can no longer be charged. I don’t want to pay to get it fixed because there’s a chance that it may be irreparable. For a similar amount of money, I think I can find a used laptop to just put my hard drive into. So does anyone know what other laptops are compatible with my hard drive?
Just find out whether the hard drive is IDE or SATA. Then buy an used laptop that fits IDE or SATA.
just find the same model laptop, other models will not work well if at all
or a better option would be buy a hard drive enclosure and move your data to a different hard drive/ computer
if you buy a hard drive enclosure pay make sure you get the right type, laptop size are labeled as 2.5". Make sure you get the correct type of enclosure for your hard drive, IDE, SATA, ATA
