I bought this the summer before my senior year in high school. Works great for school use. Data management works great and it has always been the best looking/performing computer at my high school. Plays Blu-Ray disks great on it's amazing display. Tested multiple CAD programs on it and this computer performed great. This computer is the perfect balance of portability and performance while still turning heads at the coffee shop because of it's beautiful LCD screen (best I have ever seen on a laptop) and it's sleek and sexy design. The battery life could be better (but thats caused by there being no better choice than lithium-ion batteries so far) and Sony's technical support is still lacking a bit. I have had this computer for just over a year and the only problem that I really had trouble fixing by myself was bad optical drive after the 11th month (where you put disks into the computer) which Sony replaced for free (in about 5 days it was working again) because of the warranty.
Pro : Great full 1080p screen, Blu-Ray Player works well with screen, good wifi card, sexy looking, HDMI output is helpful, decent amount of RAM, pleanty of hard drive space, good built-in web cam with microphone, and a decent sized keyboard.
Con : Battery life only lasts about an hour and 45 minutes brand new, heats up fast if running graphics intense programs (about 55 to 60 degrees celcius each processor), Sony doesn't provide very good support, and the plastic/gel pads on the bottom of the computer come off after 8 to 10 months.
