How to keep my cat from pulling the keys off my laptop computer?
I have a very intelligent cat and he gets very bored. When I leave the room he will almost immediately get in trouble and many times that is pulling all the keys off of my laptop computer. I know I could shut it but when I keep coming and going from my laptop this could get quite annoying. Is there anything I could put on my laptop or over the keyboard to keep him off?

He can also get up very high so that does not work.
I use a book opened on the keyboard but you can do what I do if I’m leaving the room, I close the screen down almost to the keyboard and just leave a pencil in mine (it turns off if you completely close the lid/screen) so it won’t come completely closed.

How can I get a laptop computer running Windows XP to realize that it does have a CD drive installed?
Someone "fixed" a laptop computer at work. Now it no longer has a CD drive installed. I’ve tried inserting the startup disk and booting the computer, but it’s not reading from the drive. I’ve looked at the control panel and tried to find someway to reinstall the drive, but have not seen anything. Any suggestions?
You should enter the bios settings and you will probably find it there. Ther’s diffrent methods to enter the bios from one computer to another, but when you turn it on, it usally says something like "Press F1 to enter setup" or something like that. Look for a message similar to that, and do what is says, and you goes into the bios.
