My 1 year old daughter Melodie knows her games. She’s like a little sponge, soaking up everything (we have to really start watching our language, and stop watching Family Guy with her in the room!). This was just a test to see how long it would take for her to memorize these things. It only took a few days, going through them about 4 times a day. Each time she surprised us by remembering one from the time before. Here’s the list:
1) Solid Snake (from Metal Gear Solid)
2) 1up (mushroom from Super Mario Bros.)
3) Alucard (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)
4) Goomba (Super Mario Bros.), not Transformers.
5) Sonic (the Hedgehog)
6) Yoshi (Super Mario Bros.)
7) Megaman
Pikachu (Pokemon)
9) Kratos (God of War)
10) Link (Legend of Zelda)
11) Cloud (Final Fantasy 7, Kingdom Hearts)
12) Chimera (Resistance: Fall of Man)
13) Samus (Metroid)
14) Kirby
15) Donkey Kong (sounds like “monkey con”)
16) Big Daddy (Bioshock)
17) Master Chief (Halo)
18) Triforce (Legend of Zelda)
19) Dante (Devil May Cry)
20) Sackboy (Littlebigplanet)

What is the best gaming system out right now?
I personally am a BIG fan of the Sony Playstation line. I just recently purchased the PS3 and I think its great. I ordered some games online and are waiting for them but I do have a couple demos and the full game of Need For Speed Carbon. I think the graphics are awesome and its the best gaming system I’ve ever played. I do however like the XBox and Xbox 360 but Im a bigger fan of the Playstation 3. I would like to know your opinion on whats your favorite and why?
I have an xbox 360 and I love it, however, I think PS3 does look a little bit better and it has a blue-ray disc player. The reasons I decided on the 360 is they are getting better games than PS3, it is more affordable, and I didn’t have to wait months for one to become available for purchase

What is most important in a gaming computer?
I know that their are several components to a good gaming computer, but what are the important things that I need first. I am building a computer from scratch, and I’m not sure if I need to start with a really good motherboard, or lots of memory or what.
Pwer Supply, Processor, Motherboard, RAM, and Video Card.
After selecting a good power supply.
You want to start by looking at your processor, wehter it is AMD or Intel.
Followed by your motherboard and the chipset.
Then RAM and your video card.
Here is a good site with the basics.

What is a good gaming computer for world of warcraft?
Mainly i just lag in Dalaran and Wintergrasp i get like 5 fps in Dalaran, but im looking for a new gaming computer got a budget of 1200$. I also want to be able to play other games. I am running on a mac right now.
You don’t need a powerhouse PC to run World of Warcraft but if you’re in the market for a new PC at an affordable price, try ecollegepc.com. They build PCs with an impressive setup starting at around $500. These systems have no operating system but leave the option if you so choose. If you don’t already have a monitor that leaves you with plenty of spending money. If you must save where you can, I recommend the Core 2 Duo but if it’s free game, go for the Quad Cores. This will prepare you for the inevitable future when games will require it.
If you plan on using Windows for gaming, stick with a 32 bit operating system. While some games utilize the 64-bit architecture, others may not support it or even run on it. This also limits your usable ram to around 3 GB so bare that in mind when selecting memory. DDR3 ram should be more than enough and is easily upgradable.
As for Vista and WoW, the most common problems with frame-rate is caused by Creative Labs cards. This is due to the fact that Vista lacks the Vendor Extension required in some games such as World of Warcraft. This is solved simply by heading to the Creative Labs website and downloading a program called ALchemy. It’s a Direct Sound interpreter for Creative Labs sound cards used in Vista. This should solve the problem IF you have a Creative Labs sound card. This solved my own frame-rate issues in WoW.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

What do people do with non gaming laptop?
I am just wondering what people do with their laptop besides gaming. I got a serious business laptop and it can play games, but it’s not meant for games it’s for business. If you not gamer what do you do with your laptops?
Well, I surf the internet and communicate with people.
I also design web sites.
I also spend an inordinate amount of time working within Adobe Photoshop doing graphic design work.
I also encode movies… you know, ripping down from DVD to a small 700mb storage file, and then reconverting others back up to DVD format.
I also use it to edit movies, and make music videos from scratch.
I also use it to capture video.
I also burn CDs and DVDs or various types, from DATA to music and video.
I dabble a bit in programming C++ and Java.
Do you really think that all you can do with a computer is play games?
How do I start writing free gaming articles?
I would really like to take a try at writing lengthy FREE articles on a website were my posts will actually be recognized and criticized. Please help me out, do you know any popular forums or gaming websites were people can enjoy my articles and hopefully I can do it for a career when I grow a bit older.
I know one!
http://www.notebookinhand.com has got an articles section. You may post up your articles, or get the admin to post it up for you, and she’ll credit you. You’re free to post these articles elsewhere as well, she won’t make it be exclusive to NiH. People will comment on them. Articles are also often added to stumbleupon so guests see them quite a bit. You’ll get more critiques the more you critique other people’s articles on that forum too.
Maybe you could try that! They really appreciate it. There are quite a few people there into gaming though it’s not specifically a gaming forum.
How do gaming sites stay up to date with whats going on?
I own my own gaming site and it’s been a little quiet recently. My question is:
How do large gaming sites like GameSpot and IGN keep up to date with the latest games?
I want to write articles on the latest games and stuff, however it’s so time consuming looking at there sites for whats coming. Surely GameSpot and IGN get this info first hand from the gaming companies themselves. If so how would I go about receiving this info too.
Does anyone have any ideas?
you have to start by spending the time and getting the information out there as fast as possible try working straight through the gaming companys and not through a middle man like IGN places like www.aeriagames.com announce there new games to there community b4 it reaches mainstream I.E. IGN or GameSpot i wouldnt put it past them to say there part of that community for that same reason . Hit up acclaims , avalanche , bioware these website most of the time will have a private mailing list of course your competition is most likely on these mailing list as well but youll have the same advantages at least http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_companies this is a link to wikipedia list of game companys hit all of them up and see what you can get IGN didnt start out as a huge website but just like yours, Good luck with the site hope i was helpful
